Senior Neuropsychologist – Full Time - Fixed Term until June 2028

About the role

Join one of Australia's leading paediatric oncology and haematology services and help shape the care journey of children, adolescents and survivors of childhood cancer.

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Clinical Neuropsychologist to work within the Monash Children's Cancer Centre, providing specialist assessment, intervention and consultation across the cancer care continuum. Whether you already have experience in paediatrics or are an experienced neuropsychologist looking to transition into this rewarding specialty area, we would love to hear from you.

The Monash Children's Cancer Centre (MCCC) provides comprehensive care for children and young people with cancer and serious blood disorders across inpatient, outpatient and survivorship settings.

Our growing psychologyteam is committed to improving cognitive,



emotional and functional outcomes of children and young people affected by serious illness. Our work extends beyond treatment to support long-term survivorship, education, participation and quality of life.

About the Role

Join our team as aGrade 3 Neuropsychologiston a fixed term contractuntil June 2028 based at Monash Children’s Hospital, Clayton. We’re growing our team and have several opportunities available. We can consider candidates who wish to work as little as2 days a week (0.4 eft) up to full time. Requests for shorter working days or working from home may be considered, subject to operational requirements.

In this role, you will:

- Deliver advanced paediatric neuropsychological assessment across the cancer care continuum, including baseline, post‑treatment and longitudinal follow‑up
- Provide clear, timely neuropsychological reports and feedback to families, clinicians, schools and external agencies
- Develop and implement evidence‑based, individualised interventions addressing cognition, learning, behaviour, fatigue and emotional wellbeing associated with cancer and caner related treatments
- Support school re‑entry, family engagement, discharge planning and referral to ongoing neuropsychological supports including NDIS and disability inclusion, as appropriate
- Engage in research
- Contribute to specialist consultation, supervision, education, and service development activities

No two days are the same. This role offers a unique blend of clinical work, family-centred care, service development and research.

You will be guided under the leadership ofMonash Health Psychology, Medical Director of the MCCC, Nurse Unit Manager MCC and will create strong relationships withthe broader MCCC Allied Health team.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience, and attributes:





- Experience in or a strong interest in pursuing a career in paediatric oncology and haematologyor experience working with young people with serious health/medical conditions and diagnoses
- You hold endorsement in Clinical Neuropsychology and have a minimum 5 years' experience working as a registered psychologistat Grade 2 level (or equivalent)
- You are a board approved supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia or would be eligible to undergo the appropriate training within 6 months of commencing the role
- You are a collaborative team player who values partnership, shared expertise and working closely within a multidisciplinary team
