Peninsula Grammar is seeking an exceptional Head of Technology and Innovation (Full-time, ongoing) to lead our technology function and help shape the next phase of our digital future.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and contributing as a member of School Executive, this new leadership role will ensure the School’s technology environment is reliable, secure, service-oriented and future-focused. The role executes the technology strategy and priorities set by Senior Executive, translating direction into disciplined operational delivery, practical innovation and measurable improvement.

The role requires a leader who can work with pace, energy and responsiveness, while maintaining sound judgement, strong governance and reliable execution.

The Head of Technology and Innovation will lead the ICT team and oversee the School’s core technology environment, including infrastructure, systems, cybersecurity, service delivery, audio visual services, helpdesk operations, digital platforms, data governance, procurement, vendors and technology-enabled learning support. This role has a strong operational foundation, while also driving digital innovation across the School. The successful candidate will help shape and execute the digital roadmap, support digital fluency, and lead the School’s responsible and human-centred AI journey in partnership with teaching, learning, operational and community-facing teams.

Key responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

- Lead, coach and develop the ICT team, fostering learning, accountability, service excellence and shared ownership.
- Oversee secure,



reliable and fit-for-purpose technology operations across infrastructure, systems, cybersecurity, AV and helpdesk support.
- Advise the COO and School Executive on technology priorities, ICT risks, service performance, cybersecurity, privacy, data governance and emerging issues.
- Lead technology incident response, escalation, communication and review, including for significant cybersecurity events.
- Manage technology procurement, vendors, service level expectations, contracts, budgets and lifecycle planning.
- Strengthen business continuity, disaster recovery, cyber readiness, platform governance, data protection and identity and access management.
- Shape and execute the School’s digital innovation agenda, including digital fluency, the digital roadmap and responsible use of emerging technologies.
- Champion the School’s AI journey as a collaborative, human-centred and responsible program of work.
- Build cybersecurity awareness and safe technology practices across the School community.
- Lead technology change through clear communication, training, adoption and evaluation.
- Contribute to relevant School policies, procedures and guidelines relating to technology, privacy, cybersecurity, data governance and responsible technology use.

About you





You are an experienced technology leader who brings operational discipline, strategic thinking and a genuine commitment to service and improvement. You are calm under pressure, clear in your advice, and able to translate complex technical matters into practical guidance for non-technical stakeholders.

You will bring:

- Experience leading and developing ICT teams in a complex service environment.
- Strong operational management experience across ICT infrastructure, systems, service desk, cybersecurity, AV, procurement and vendor management.
- A strong understanding of risk management, privacy, cybersecurity, data protection and technology governance.
- Experience advising senior leaders during incidents, service disruptions and operational risk matters.
- Demonstrated ability to execute technology strategies, digital roadmaps, capability plans or innovation programs.
- Strong project, budget, contract and resource management capability.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft 365, cloud platforms, enterprise applications and educational technologies.
- Proactive engagement with emerging technologies, including AI.
- The ability to work at pace, respond constructively to energetic leadership direction, and translate executive priorities into clear action and delivery.
