The Opportunity

Location: Inverell, New South Wales

Employment Type: Full-Time

Remuneration: Competitive hourly rate + applicable penalties + superannuation + not for profit salary packaging

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Cook to join our Residential Aged Care team.

This role is responsible for delivering high-quality catering services that support the wellbeing and dining experience of our residents, while ensuring food safety, compliance and efficient use of resources. You will work as part of a supportive catering and care team, preparing and serving meals in a safe, hygienic and welcoming environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing, handling, storing and serving food safely and hygienically
- Ensuring meals and beverages are presented to a high standard
- Maintaining appropriate food temperatures and completing temperature records
- Setting dining rooms and preparing individual resident meal trays




- Assisting with dishwashing and cleaning kitchen and dining areas
- Monitoring and reporting food wastage
- Supporting individual resident dietary requirements in consultation with clinical staff
- Following food safety, WHS and infection-control requirements
- Contributing to a positive and respectful dining experience for residents

About You

We are looking for someone who brings:

- Certificate III or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
- Minimum two years’ commercial cooking experience
- Previous experience in a Residential Aged Care setting
- Strong knowledge of food handling and food safety requirements
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Understanding of WHS and infection-control principles
