About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a Security Installation Technician Apprenticeship. This is a full-time apprenticeship prospect based in Wangara, WA 6065, offering you the chance to develop a rewarding career in the security technician industry. As an apprentice, you will work alongside experienced technicians, gaining hands-on experience in the installation and maintenance of security alarm systems, CCTV equipment, and access control systems.

This role is fundamental to delivering our high-quality security solutions to clients whilst building your professional expertise and industry qualifications.

Key responsibilities

- Assist experienced technicians in the installation of security alarm systems, CCTV cameras, and access control systems at residential and commercial properties
- Learn to test, commission, and maintain security equipment to ensure optimal performance and client satisfaction
- Conduct site inspections and prepare documentation related to system installations and maintenance activities
- Respond to service calls and support in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with existing systems
- Follow all health and safety regulations and best practices on job sites
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and hours worked as part of the apprenticeship programme
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure quality service delivery




- Complete theoretical coursework and practical assessments as required by the apprenticeship framework

What we're looking for

- Currently enrolled or willing to enrol in a relevant security systems or electrical apprenticeship programme
- A strong interest in security systems, technology, and problem-solving
- Manual dexterity and the ability to work with hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude towards customer service
- Reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to completing the full apprenticeship term
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
- The capacity to work at heights and in confined spaces where required
- A willingness to learn and develop technical knowledge and skills in the security industry
- Preferably, some background or familiarity with electrical work, IT, or technical troubleshooting
