Join the Security Department at Blacktown Hospital, supporting a 24-hour, 365-day security service across the Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospital precincts. You will be part of a team committed to creating a safe, secure and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff.

What you'll be doing

As a Security Officer, you will provide a qualified and responsive security service across the hospital precinct. You will play an important role in protecting people and assets while supporting a safe environment for healthcare delivery.

- Conduct internal and external security patrols and drive the security vehicle when required

- Respond promptly to requests for assistance, incidents and hospital emergency codes





- Provide escorts and protection services for staff, patients and visitors

- Monitor CCTV, access control and security systems, and complete accurate incident reports and logs

- Assist with security audits, equipment testing, risk assessments and safety initiatives

Essential Criteria

- NSW Security Licence 1A

- Current First Aid Certificate

Selection Criteria

1. Licensed according to the Security Industry Act 1997 Current NSW Security Licence Class 1A.

2. Current Senior First Aid Certificate.

3. Current Drivers Licence valid within Australia.

4. Demonstrate intermediate level computer operating skills e.g. through experience with contemporary electronic security alarm monitoring systems (Access building control, CCTV surveillance, data entry, and Radio communications).

5. Customer service skills with a high degree of personal integrity and motivation and willingness and ability to carry out tasks of a physical nature as described in Job Demand List.

6. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team,



follow directions and work without close supervision.

7. Sound communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution and report writing skills. Skills related to escalating a problem to the appropriate line of management.
