Provide efficient and effective administrative support for the Medical Education Unit and Director of Clinical Training to facilitate the coordination of the National Framework for Prevocational Medical Training Program.

The Role An opportunity has become available for a Senior Administration Officer (Medical Education Unit) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

- Provide confidential administrative support to the Medical Education Unit
- Assist with compilation and submission of compliance paperwork for the Medical Board of Australia and Australian Medical Council
- Develop and maintain an adequate understanding of the National Framework for Prevocational Medical Training.
- Work autonomously and exercise sound judgement to manage emergent problems and resolve routine operational issues
- Contribute to the review and continuous improvement of administrative processes, workflow and service delivery

About you To be successful in this position you will require:

- Whilst not mandatory, a relevant qualification in Business Administration, Education or similar will be well regarded
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

- Permanent full time
- Base salary ranging from $96,363 - $106,160 per annum





About Us The Medical Education Unit (MEU) is responsible for coordinating the delivery and governance of accredited prevocational medical training programs in accordance with the Australian Medical Council National Framework for Prevocational Medical Training and provides education, assessment and support for international medical graduates, including the Workplace Based Assessment Program, as well as other rotational medical officers. The MEU works collaboratively with clinical departments and key stakeholders to ensure compliance with accreditation, regulatory and legislative requirements with effective orientation, supervision, assessment, career development, wellbeing while driving continuous quality improvement to support a skilled medical workforce and safe, high quality patient care.
