Wesfarmers OneDigital is building Australia's leading data and digital retail ecosystem, underpinned by AI across everything we do. We operate across four pillars - loyalty, data, retail media and AI, turning millions of customer interactions into insights that shape how Australians shop, live and connect.
We're expanding one of our most cutting-edge teams and are looking for exceptional talent to join the AI Build Squad to help our divisions make the most of emerging technologies.
This is your chance to help build cutting-edge AI solutions that reach millions of customers across Australia's leading retailers. You'll work at the forefront of emerging technologies, solve complex business challenges, and help accelerate our AI transformation journey.
The Senior Agentic Business Lead operates across the full lifecycle of business AI adoption: understanding current processes and pain points, identifying where AI tooling can add value, sourcing or building solutions, and supporting teams through adoption. This is a deeply cross-functional role that requires credibility with business leaders and the ability to translate between business needs and technical possibilities.
The role works closely with the Change Manager on adoption and behaviour change, and with the AI Enablement Lead on opportunities related to personal productivity tools.
This role is expected to maintain current knowledge of the rapidly evolving landscape of AI business tools, acting as the team’s expert on what’s possible for business process transformation.
What You’ll Do
- Build relationships with business function leaders across OneDigital to understand their processes, pain points, and opportunities for AI-enabled improvement
- Proactively identify business process transformation opportunities where AI tooling can drive meaningful value
- Evaluate, recommend, and procure AI solutions for business functions — conducting vendor assessments, building business cases, and managing procurement processes
- Partner with the Senior AI Engineer when opportunities require custom-built solutions rather than commercial products
- Support business teams through adoption of new AI tooling, working closely with the Change Manager on behaviour change and embedding
- Collaborate with the AI Enablement Lead on opportunities related to personal productivity tools and their application to business function workflows
- Maintain deep knowledge of the AI business tools landscape — tracking market evolution, emerging capabilities, and vendor developments
- Contribute to the Accelerator’s knowledge export function by documenting business AI use cases, sharing learnings with divisional business teams, and contributing to playbooks
- Track and report on value realisation from business AI initiatives, building the evidence base for further investment
- Represent the business perspective in Accelerator planning and prioritisation, advocating for opportunities that deliver meaningful business outcomes
- Lead solution architecture for AI initiatives built by the Accelerator, ensuring
What You’ll Need
- 6-10 years of experience in business transformation, business analysis, technology consulting, or similar roles that bridge business and technology
- Uses AI tools confidently in their own work and brings a genuine interest in helping others understand where AI can improve their day-to-day roles.
- Demonstrated experience driving adoption of technology solutions within business functions (not just technical teams)
- Track record of stakeholder engagement across senior business leaders in functions such as Marketing, Finance, People, or Operations
- Experience evaluating and procuring business software solutions, including vendor assessment and business case development
- Familiarity with AI capabilities and their application to business processes — either through direct experience or demonstrated learning agility
- Strong business process analysis skills — able to understand current state, identify inefficiencies, and envision technology-enabled improvements
- Knowledge of the AI business tools landscape and the ability to rapidly evaluate emerging solutions
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills across business leaders who may have varying levels of technology fluency
- Ability to build compelling business cases that articulate value in terms business leaders understand
- Strong communication skills — able to translate between business needs and technical possibilities
- Familiarity with procurement and vendor management processes
- A relevant tertiary qualification in business, technology, or a related field is desirable but not essential. Demonstrated business acumen and technology adoption experience will be prioritised.
