Title: Senior Automation Test Engineer (Agentic AI + Test Automation)

About:

Most "AI-powered QE" roles mean someone once asked ChatGPT to write a test case. This one doesn't. I'm working with a leading fintech group, who are building a high performing tech platform. I am looking for a Senior Automation Test Engineer who builds agentic AI into how quality actually gets done and wants to shape how a whole engineering org uses agentic AI.

What you'll be doing:

- Building, maintaining and improving TypeScript UI and Java/Gherkin API test frameworks
- Designing and building agentic AI workflows (think Claude Code) to automate test planning, generation and maintenance
- Integrating automated testing into CI/CD so teams test early and often without slowing delivery
- Acting as the go-to quality and automation SME for dev teams: test planning, pair programming, PR reviews and shift-left guardrails
- Building one-click,



self-service workflows so teams can automate their own features
- Upskilling engineers at all levels on AI, quality and automation through workshops, presentations and docs

What you'll bring:

- Robust experience building modern test automation frameworks in TypeScript (UI) and Java/Gherkin (API)
- Hands-on experience building agentic AI solutions, not just using AI assistants. Custom workflows, agents, MCP integrations or AI-driven test pipelines all count.
- Solid CI/CD experience embedding automated quality gates
- Confidence influencing and coaching dev teams, and enjoying the enablement side as much as the coding

Bonus points:

- Karate, Playwright, Applitools or Gatling
- Non-functional testing know-how (security, performance)
- AWS or GCP
- Australian strata or property domain experience
