Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Azure Synapse Engineer to join an enterprise data engineering team delivering large-scale data solutions in a regulated environment. The role will involve hands-on engineering across the Azure data platform, while also contributing to solution design, technical direction, and mentoring of junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and implement scalable enterprise data solutions using Azure data platform technologies.
- Work extensively with Azure Synapse Analytics, Apache Spark, and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS).
- Contribute to solution architecture and influence technical decisions across data engineering initiatives.
- Develop and maintain robust data pipelines and engineering solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
- Implement and support CI/CD and DevOps practices for data engineering workloads.
- Collaborate closely with Architecture, Platform, Business, and Delivery teams to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.




- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
- Ensure solutions meet the required standards for security, scalability, reliability, and governance, particularly within regulated environments.

Key Requirements

- 10+ years of overall software/data engineering experience.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud data platforms.
- Solid experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Spark, and ADLS.
- Strong understanding of data engineering principles, scalable data solutions, and enterprise data platforms.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD and Azure DevOps practices.
- Experience delivering solutions within large-scale or regulated enterprise environments.
- Ability to contribute to solution design and technical direction.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring and supporting other engineers
