Trail riding has returned to Boomerang in Daylesford, and we're looking for someone who wants to grow with us — not just fill a roster spot.

This role starts casual, but for the right person it becomes something more. Hours and responsibility will increase over time, with a clear path toward an Assistant Manager position.

What the role involves

- Grooming, tacking up, and daily care for horses
- Leading trail rides and pony leads
- Hosing down and rugging up horses
- Feeding — including lifting hay bales and 25kg feed bags
- Reliable cleaning and general property maintenance
- Mending fences and other hands-on farm tasks
- Worming and basic horse health care
- Driving a tractor, quad bike and towing a float/trailer

What we need from you

- Excellent horsemanship — you ride well, and you're comfortable with horses of all temperaments, without needing to prove it
- Ability to drive a tractor and tow a float or trailer
- Current unrestricted drivers licence
- Physical fitness — this can often be hard work
- Outstanding communication skills and a natural ease with people




- Genuine empathy — for horses and for the people who come to ride them
- First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)

Hours Generally 8:30am–4pm. Weekends are our busiest days with customers, while weekdays are often used for maintenance and ad-hoc tasks around the property, if we don't have bookings. Additional hours are available during school holiday periods. Fridays off.
