An exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced Electrical Designer / Drafter to join a well-established electrical contractor delivering a diverse portfolio of commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects across Queensland.

Working closely with project delivery and engineering teams, you'll play a key role in developing practical electrical design solutions, producing detailed project documentation and supporting projects from initial concept through to completion.

n

Key Responsibilities:

n

- Develop and modify electrical designs to support project delivery requirements.
n
- Prepare high-quality construction and installation drawings using AutoCAD and associated design software.
n
- Create and maintain accurate project documentation throughout the design and delivery phases.
n
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure designs are practical, compliant and buildable.
n
- Assist with design development, technical reviews and project planning activities.
n
- Coordinate drawing revisions and maintain document control processes.
n
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external clients to ensure project requirements are achieved.
n
- Provide technical drafting support across multiple concurrent projects.
n
- Contribute to continuous improvement of design standards and drafting practices.

About You:

n

- Electrical trade qualification or relevant electrical design experience.
n
- Previous experience within electrical construction, engineering or building services environments.
n
- Substantial experience using AutoCAD, BIM platforms and other design tools such as Revit and Navisworks.
n
- Understanding of electrical systems, installation methodologies and construction processes.
n
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work across multiple projects.
n
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
n
- High attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate documentation.
n
- Experience working in commercial, industrial, utilities or infrastructure projects will be highly regarded.
n
