We are seeking an experienced and motivated Civil Inspections Officer to undertake inspections of civil infrastructure assets across the Shire and support the planning and delivery of maintenance programs. This role combines field-based inspections, stakeholder engagement, reporting and data management to ensure our assets remain protected, compliant and well maintained.
In this role you will have the following accountabilities:
- Undertake inspections of roads, drainage, paths and other civil infrastructure assets.
- Identify maintenance requirements and assess asset condition and risk.
- Develop and implement inspection programs in collaboration with operational teams.
- Prepare inspection reports and recommend corrective actions and maintenance priorities.
- Maintain accurate inspection, asset and work order records using digital systems.
- Provide timely advice and support to operational teams and stakeholders.
- Work closely with customers and community members to address enquiries and concerns relating to civil infrastructure.
Our preferred candidate will be able to demonstrate the following experiences and skillset:
- Certificate III in Civil Construction or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience within civil construction,
civil maintenance, utilities or a similar operational environment.
- Experience assessing asset condition and identifying maintenance priorities.
- Strong organisational skills with experience planning and coordinating inspection programs.
- Experience using tablets, asset management systems and work order software
- Ability to work independently in the field while maintaining strong communication with operational teams.
- Sound written communication skills with the ability to prepare clear reports and recommendations.
- Current WA C Class Driver's Licence and Construction White Card.

We will negotiate a great salary with you in the range of $81,745 - $84,216 per annum depending on the experience you bring to the role.
