RADK Tech is currently seeking experienced Cloud Architects and Cloud Engineers to support a Federal Government agency in Canberra.

About the role

We are seeking experienced Cloud Architects and Cloud Engineers to work on a range of Federal Government ICT projects.

The successful candidates will contribute to the design, implementation and ongoing improvement of modern cloud platforms and enterprise solutions, working closely with technical teams and stakeholders.

We are particularly interested in candidates with strong Microsoft Azure experience, although experience across other major cloud platforms will also be considered.

Key responsibilities

Depending on your background, responsibilities may include:

- Design, implement and support enterprise cloud solutions
- Develop and maintain secure, scalable and highly available cloud environments
- Provide technical leadership across cloud engineering and architecture activities
- Design cloud architectures aligned with business and technical requirements
- Develop cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code
- Support cloud migration, modernisation and transformation initiatives
- Implement cloud security, monitoring, governance and operational practices
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Work with development and engineering teams to implement cloud-native solutions
- Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure and application issues




- Develop solutions for high availability, resilience, disaster recovery and performance
- Provide technical guidance to project teams and stakeholders
- Contribute to architectural documentation, standards and technical designs

Key skills and experience We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in:
- Microsoft Azure
- Azure Architecture / Cloud Architecture
- Azure Kubernetes Service ( AKS )
- Azure DevOps
- Azure networking and connectivity
- Azure API Management ( APIM )
- Azure Monitor / Log Analytics / KQL
- Azure security and governance
- Microsoft Defender for Cloud
- Microsoft Sentinel
- Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform
- Ansible
- CI/CD and DevOps
- Cloud-native and microservices architectures
- High availability and disaster recovery
- Enterprise cloud migration and modernisation
- Experience with AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform is also highly regarded.

What we're looking for We are interested in candidates who can demonstrate:
- Strong hands-on cloud engineering or architecture experience
- Experience working with complex enterprise environments
- Strong understanding of cloud security and governance
- Ability to design and implement scalable and resilient cloud solutions
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work effectively within Agile and multidisciplinary teams
- Experience providing technical leadership and guidance

Contract details
- Client: Federal Government agency
- Location: Canberra, ACT
- Work arrangement: Hybrid
- Initial term: 12 months
