Compliance Specialist – AML/CFT (ANZ)

Sydney | Hybrid | Full-Time

I'm working with a well-established international financial solutions provider that's looking to bring on an experienced Compliance Specialist to strengthen their Risk & Compliance function across Australia and Current Zealand.

This is a genuinely broad, hands-on role rather than a purely advisory one. You'd be stepping in as Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer for the local entities, working closely with senior leadership on financial crime risk across corporate, funds, and capital markets client bases.

What the role involves:

Acting as Deputy MLRO across the AU and NZ entities. Providing independent compliance advice on client onboarding and risk assessment. Direct engagement with financial crime and regulatory bodies. Ongoing transaction monitoring and suspicious activity reviews, along with periodic thematic reviews.





Supporting internal audit processes when required. Delivering AML/CTF training across the business. Handling compliance-related investigations and complaints. Preparing compliance reporting for senior stakeholders.

What they're looking for:

Solid working knowledge of AU and NZ AML/CTF regulatory requirements is important, and an AML certification such as ACAMS would be an advantage. You'll need to be comfortable managing multiple senior stakeholders independently, and be someone who's meticulous, proactive, and a confident communicator.
