I am exclusively partnered with a leading enterprise organisation that is looking for a Databricks Data Engineer to start immediately on an initial 12 month contract

You will play a key role in designing, building, and optimising a modern cloud data platform, working on large-scale data transformation and analytics initiatives currently in the delivery phase.

We're looking for someone who can start immediately. The interview process will consist of two stages and commence next week with the end client.

What You Will Be Doing:

- Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines using Databricks and Apache Spark
- Building and optimising ETL/ELT processes to support business-critical reporting and analytics
- Collaborating with Data Architects, Data Analysts, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality data solutions
- Working with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Implementing data quality, monitoring, governance, and performance optimisation best practices




- Supporting cloud-based data platform initiatives, including migration and modernisation projects
- Managing and integrating data from multiple source systems into a centralised data environment

What You Bring:

- 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, with robust hands-on Databricks experience
- Demonstrated expertise in building scalable data pipelines using Apache Spark (PySpark preferred)
- Experience working with AWS
- Strong SQL development skills and experience working with large-scale datasets
- Experience with Delta Lake, Databricks Workflows, Unity Catalog, and modern data engineering best practices
- Strong understanding of data modelling, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT methodologies
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Exposure to platform migration, data modernisation, or data transformation projects is highly regarded
