Huawei Australia is hiring a Senior Data Storage Solution Engineer to provide specialist technical leadership for enterprise data storage and data protection solutions. The role works with customers, sales teams and partners to understand complex requirements, design suitable solutions and provide technical support throughout the pre-sales and delivery lifecycle.

Job responsibilities:

- Understand customers’ storage, backup, disaster recovery and data protection requirements.
- Design complex enterprise storage solutions covering SAN, NAS, backup and related technologies.
- Conduct solution sizing, performance analysis, capacity planning and product configuration.
- Lead technical discussions, solution workshops, product demonstrations and proof-of-concept activities.
- Prepare and review technical proposals, solution designs, bills of materials and tender responses.
- Provide specialist storage support and technical guidance to sales and infrastructure solution teams.
- Work with partners and delivery teams to validate solution feasibility and support implementation.
- Develop storage migration, consolidation,



upgrade and disaster recovery strategies.
- Identify technical risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
- Maintain knowledge of industry developments, emerging storage technologies and competitor solutions.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least five years of relevant experience in enterprise storage, solution design, pre-sales engineering or technical consulting.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, backup and data protection.
- Demonstrated experience designing complex storage solutions and supporting enterprise sales opportunities.
- Experience preparing technical proposals, solution architectures and tender responses.
- Solid analytical, troubleshooting, communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to engage confidently with customers and provide technical leadership across internal and partner teams.
