About the role

Whoever You Are is seeking an active, reliable Senior Disability Support Worker / Direct Care Team Lead to deliver person-centred direct care and provide shift guidance across South East Queensland and Northern Recent South Wales. This is a mobile, field-based role delivering 1:1 direct community and in-home support, implementing positive behaviour support strategies, and supporting on-the-ground staff mentoring.

Key responsibilities

- Provide 1:1 direct care, personal care, manual handling (hoisting/transfers), meal preparation, and domestic assistance to participants.

- Drive participants to medical appointments, allied health sessions, and community activities.





- Implement positive behaviour support strategies and individual support plans in accordance with NDIS standards.

- Provide practical on-shift guidance, shadow-shifting, and mentoring to direct care staff.

- Maintain accurate shift logs, progress notes, and incident reports.

About you

- Minimum 12 months of direct care support experience in the disability sector or AQF Certificate III in Individual Support / Community Services.

- Competency in manual handling, mobility equipment, personal care, and medication assistance.

- Active NDIS Worker Screening Check.

- Current First Aid & CPR.

- Valid Driver's Licence and insured vehicle.
