We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Environmental Advisor to join our Environmental, Approvals and Community team on a 2-year tenure, with the possibility of extension. Reporting to the Environment Superintendent, you'll play a key role in maintaining environmental compliance, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting the delivery of environmental programs across a large-scale mining operation.

Key Responsibilities Include:

- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and compliance with site standards and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate environmental monitoring and sampling programs, including air quality, surface water, groundwater, soils, sediments, potable water, and wastewater.
- Assess and interpret monitoring results, identifying trends and ensuring compliance with legislative and approval conditions.
- Support the ongoing development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the site's Environmental Management System, procedures, and work instructions.
- Coordinate and prepare statutory and corporate environmental reporting, including NGERS, NPI, DES waste reporting, permit returns, and internal reporting requirements.
- Lead environmental incident investigations, reporting, corrective actions, and follow-up activities.
- Provide technical environmental advice and support to operational departments across site.
- Coordinate and deliver environmental improvement projects and initiatives.
- Manage environmental consultants and contractors, ensuring quality outcomes and compliance with project requirements.
- Collaborate with the wider Environment,



Approvals and Community team to deliver business objectives and drive continuous improvement.

About you: You are an experienced environmental professional with a strong background in mining and a passion for achieving positive environmental and operational outcomes. You are confident working in a dynamic site environment, managing multiple priorities, and building strong relationships across all levels of the business.

- Minimum 4 years' experience in a mining environmental role, preferably within the metalliferous mining sector.
- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related discipline.
- Sound understanding of environmental monitoring programs, compliance obligations, and environmental management systems.
- Experience coordinating internal and external environmental reporting requirements.
- Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and investigation skills.
- Demonstrated experience managing environmental consultants and contractors.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications, environmental databases, and GIS software.
- Current Queensland manual driver's licence.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
- Must reside within the Townsville, Burdekin, Charters Towers region, or surrounding areas (within 200km of Ravenswood), or be willing to relocate.
