The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Estimator to join our growing team and work closely with the Estimating Manager to prepare competitive tenders, develop cost plans, and support the successful delivery of commercial construction opportunities. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated qualified who enjoys working in a quick-paced environment and influencing project outcomes from concept through to contract award.

As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing detailed cost plans, feasibility assessments, bills of quantities, tender submissions, and trade package procurement strategies. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure accurate pricing, sound commercial decision-making, and successful bid outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare hard dollar tender estimates for new business opportunities.
- Develop feasibility studies, elemental cost plans, square metre rate estimates, and bills of quantities.
- Review project designs and identify value engineering opportunities.
- Prepare and manage selective trade package tenders.
- Analyse tender submissions and assess contractual conditions.
- Lead subcontractor engagement,



including tender queries and mid-tender meetings.
- Assist with tender submissions, qualifications, exclusions, and commercial clarifications.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of market pricing and construction cost trends.
- Support project teams with tender scope reviews and contract variation assessments.
- Maintain effective document control and record management systems.

About You You are a commercially astute construction professional with strong estimating capabilities and a passion for delivering high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

You will ideally hold a degree or diploma in:

- Quantity Surveying
- Construction Management
- Engineering

A trade qualification will be highly regarded.

Experience

- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a similar estimating role.
- Experience within the commercial or industrial construction sector is preferred.
- Candidates from the residential construction industry with strong estimating expertise will also be considered.
- Previous project management or site-based experience is advantageous

Technical Knowledge

You will demonstrate

- Strong understanding of commercial construction methodologies and delivery models.
- Knowledge of hard dollar tenders,



GMP contracts, and project delivery methods.
- Understanding of contract administration and commercial principles.
- Knowledge of quantity surveying, architectural, and construction practices.
- Awareness of labour and material market trends.

Systems & Software

Experience using

- CostX and/or Cubit
- Bluebeam
- EstimateOne
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Construction management platforms such as Procore (desirable)
