The role

Reporting to the Construction Manager, you’ll take ownership of the estimating and tendering process from reviewing plans, specifications and scopes through to preparing accurate, competitive tenders and following up opportunities. You’ll work closely with our Construction team, builders, subcontractors and suppliers to understand project requirements, identify risks and develop commercially sound pricing.

Your strong understanding of commercial plumbing construction methodologies will be key to the role, with the ability to accurately assess and complete material, equipment and labour take-offs across plumbing projects. This includes experience with multi-level stacks, commercial hot water plants, trade waste treatment systems and civil site utilities, ensuring estimates are practical, detailed and reflective of the work required to deliver each project successfully.

Key duties

- Prepare accurate and detailed estimates, tenders, bids and proposals within required timeframes
- Review plans,



specifications and scopes to determine project requirements, costs and potential risks
- Manage tender deadlines, submissions and follow up, including reviewing and communicating tender feedback
- Analysing supplier pricing, historical data and market trends to maintain competitive and profitable pricing
- Manage procurement of materials, fixtures, fittings and equipment for awarded projects

Key attributes and experience

- Previous trade experience, specifically within a commercial plumbing setting will be highly regarded
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Proven ability to interpret drawings, specifications and scopes of work
- Comprehensive expertise in commercial plumbing installations
- Strong commercial acumen with an eye for detail
- Highly developed analytical and numeracy skills
- Natural problem solver
- Strong communicator with a proven ability to form strong working relationships
- Foster positive relationships with clients and contractors
