About the role

This is a senior, hands-on position for an experienced agricultural operator who can combine high-level machinery operation with practical team leadership. The role will be the primary boomspray operator and, during harvest, a principal header operator. It will also help coordinate the daily work of the farm team.

The successful person will not simply wait for instructions. They will think ahead, notice what needs attention, organise people and equipment, solve practical problems, and take ownership of the standard and completion of work. This is a working leader position, not a desk-based supervisor role.

About you

- Extensive practical experience in Australian broadacre farming, including several seasons operating modern agricultural machinery
- Demonstrated high-level experience operating a boomspray independently and safely, including calibration, chemical handling, clean-down and application record keeping
- Strong header-operating experience across changing crops and conditions,



with sound knowledge of machine settings, grain quality and loss management
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proven ability to service machinery, diagnose faults and complete practical repairs
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate people, communicate expectations and remain calm and organised during high-pressure seasonal work
- Sound digital capability with GPS/guidance systems, rate controllers, machine displays, apps and electronic records
- Current driver's licence and any licences, tickets or chemical-user accreditation required by South Australian law for the duties performed
- Capacity and willingness to work extended and flexible hours during spraying, seeding and harvest, balanced with safe fatigue management
