Workforce Planning Specialist - Data & Analytics
$71 per hour + super | Immediate Start | Flexible / Hybrid

We are seeking an experienced Workforce Planning Specialist with strong data analysis capability to join a Commonwealth Government agency on an immediate-start contract.

This role will support the development and implementation of a contemporary Workforce Plan, using workforce data, analytics and modelling to identify trends, risks, capability requirements and future workforce needs.

This is not a generalist HR position. We are looking for someone who can work confidently with workforce data, undertake analysis and modelling, and translate findings into practical advice for senior stakeholders. The RFQ specifically requires experience in workforce planning, workforce analytics or workforce modelling, together with strong analytical skills.

The Role Working within the People, Culture and Communication function, you will contribute to strategic workforce planning activities including:

- Workforce data analysis, demand and supply analysis and workforce modelling
- Analysing workforce trends, risks, capability gaps and critical dependencies




- Translating quantitative and qualitative workforce data into meaningful insights
- Developing workforce models, scenarios and planning tools
- Contributing to the development of a refreshed organisational Workforce Plan
- Supporting organisational design and future operating model activitieS

What We're Looking For

- Workforce planning, workforce analytics and/or workforce modelling
- Analysing workforce or people data and identifying meaningful trends and insights
- Developing workforce plans, models, scenarios or similar strategic workforce products
- Turning complex data and analysis into transparent, practical recommendations
- Working with senior stakeholders and presenting analytical findings
- Managing complex priorities and working collaboratively across an organisation

Experience within the APS or broader public sector would be highly regarded, along with experience supporting organisational change, service design or operating model redesign

Your CV should clearly demonstrate your experience with workforce analytics, data analysis, workforce modelling and strategic workforce planning.
