Live-In Housekeeper / Property Caretaker

A full-time live-in housekeeper role on a small working property near Innisfail, looking after two large Airbnb guest accommodations while also assisting with vanilla, bees and food forest. Full time hours approximately 38 per week. Housekeeping comes first and depends on guest bookings, with property work fitted in around it and varying by season.

Key responsibilities

- Cleaning and turning over two large Airbnb properties between guests
- Laundering and changing sheets and linen
- Restocking supplies and presenting the properties to a high standard
- Small odd jobs around the properties as they arise
- Vanilla shadehouse work, including hand pollination, general plant care and curing
- Assisting with bees
- Helping maintain the food forest and grounds

About you

- Quiet, respectful and self-motivated
- Experienced in, or quick to learn,



high-standard cleaning and linen turnover
- A practical, can-do attitude with a willingness to tackle a mix of tasks
- Reliable, trustworthy and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working outdoors in a tropical climate, including heat and humidity
- Comfortable around bees (no known allergy to bee stings)
- Flexible around guest changeover days, which may include weekends
- Current right to work in Australia
- Ability to provide references

Cash salary of $60,000 per year plus superannuation

Rent-free on-site accommodation valued at $500 per week

Utilities included up to a fair-use allowance for one person

Hands-on training in vanilla growing and curing, and in beekeeping
