Job Description

n

Create, modify, test, and maintain Windows application packages using tools such as MSI, MSIX, Win32, InstallShield, Advanced Installer, and PowerShell.

n

Repackage legacy applications into enterprise-ready deployment formats.

n

Develop installation, uninstallation, detection, remediation, and rollback scripts.

n

Create application detection rules, dependencies, supersedence, and deployment requirements.

n

Perform application compatibility testing across supported Windows versions.

n

Troubleshoot installation failures, application conflicts, registry issues, services, permissions, and prerequisite dependencies.

n

Maintain application packaging documentation and deployment standards.

n

Coordinate application packaging and deployment activities with application owners, infrastructure teams, and service desk teams.

SCCM / Microsoft Configuration Manager n

Administer and support Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM) infrastructure.

n

Create and manage applications, packages, task sequences, collections, deployments, and software updates.

n

Manage application deployments to user and device collections.

n

Configure deployment types, requirements, dependencies, supersedence, and detection methods.

n

Support operating system deployment (OSD), task sequences, and Windows imaging.

n

Manage software inventory, hardware inventory, compliance settings, and reporting.

n

Monitor deployment status and troubleshoot failed or unsuccessful deployments.

n

Analyze SCCM client health and resolve client installation, communication, and policy issues.

n

Troubleshoot using SCCM/MECM logs such as AppDiscovery.log,



AppEnforce.log, CAS.log, ContentTransferManager.log, LocationServices.log, and ExecMgr.log.

n

Support software update and patch deployment activities.

Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Management n

Administer Microsoft Intune for modern Windows endpoint management.

n

Package and deploy Win32 applications using the .intunewin format.

n

Configure application assignments, requirements, dependencies, superdense, and detection rules.

n

Manage Windows configuration profiles, compliance policies, security policies, and endpoint protection policies.

n

Support Windows Autopilot enrolment and device provisioning.

n

Manage device enrolment, configuration, application deployment, and compliance.

n

Troubleshoot Intune application and policy deployment issues.

n

Analyse Intune Management Extension logs and endpoint-side diagnostics.

n

Support migration of workloads from SCCM/MECM to Intune using co-management and modern management approaches.

PowerShell & Automation n

Develop PowerShell scripts for application installation, configuration, detection, remediation, and automation.

n

Automate repetitive administrative and deployment tasks.

n

Create proactive remediation scripts for endpoint configuration and application issues.

n





Maintain reusable scripting standards and documentation.

Troubleshooting & Support n

Investigate and resolve application deployment and installation failures.

n

Provide Level 2/Level 3 support for endpoint management and software deployment issues.

n

Analyze Windows Event Viewer, registry, MSI logs, SCCM logs, Intune logs, and application-specific logs.

n

Work with vendors and application owners to resolve complex packaging and deployment problems.

n

Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.

Required Skills & Experience n

5+ years of experience in application packaging and enterprise endpoint management.

n

Solid hands-on experience with SCCM/MECM and Microsoft Intune.

n

Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 administration and enterprise application deployment.

n

Experience creating and troubleshooting MSI, EXE, MSIX, and Win32 application packages.

n

Experience with application detection methods, requirements, dependencies, superdense, and deployment models.

n

Experience with SCCM software distribution, collections, deployments, task sequences, and client troubleshooting.

n

Experience with Intune application deployment, configuration profiles, compliance policies, and Windows Autopilot.

n

Good understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, certificates, and Windows networking.

n

Experience with software patching and Windows update management.

n

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

n

Ability to work effectively with infrastructure, security, application, and service desk teams.
