Mittagong Flower Merchant is a well-established florist & gift store in the Southern Highlands.
We're looking for an experienced florist to join our small team in a casual role.
The position would suit someone who is confident working independently, loved floristry and understands that working in a busy florist involves much more than just making beautiful flowers.
About the role -
As a senior florist, you'll be involved in all areas of the store including:
- Creating beautiful bouquets, arrangements & custom floral orders
- Conditioning, processing & caring for fresh flowers
- Preparing flowers for weddings, events, corporate & funerals
- Assisting with wedding and event preparation & installations
- Providing confident, friendly customer service in-store & over the phone
- Taking customer orders and helping customers choose the right flowers and gifts
- Completing deliveries in our company van (licence required)
- Merchandising and maintaining our flower & gift displays
- Woking efficiently during busy periods including Mother's Day, Valentines Day, Christmas & wedding season
Previous experience working as a florist is a must. This is a casual position, with hours varying depending on the needs of the business, weddings, events & seasonal periods.
