About the role

API Management Pty Limited (APIM) are seeking an experienced Senior GIS Analyst – Environment to join the team on a fixed-term contract basis based in Perth, Western Australia. Reporting to the Manager Workplace and working in close collaboration with the Principal GIS Analyst, you will be embedded within the Environment and Heritage Team to deliver high-quality data management, geospatial analysis of environmental, heritage and project development datasets, map production, and geospatial reporting across the business.

Key responsibilities

- Producing cartographic maps to support statutory reporting and approval applications, including Programme of Work (PoW) applications, Mining Proposals, Annual Environmental Reports (AER), Mine Rehabilitation Fund (MRF) reporting, heritage and environmental impact assessments, and water licensing

- Preparing spatial deliverables and visualisations for internal and external reporting, management presentations, and Board papers

- Coordinating and managing the APIM ground clearing database across the complete lifecycle: internal permitting; disturbance reconciliation; rehabilitation tracking; and statutory data collation and reporting

- Processing, analysing, validating, and formatting spatial data received from internal and external stakeholders, environmental consultants, and government agencies

- Capturing, digitising, and quality-assuring existing and new spatial datasets in alignment with APIM GIS standards,



metadata protocols, and quality assurance processes

- Undertaking database administration, developing system documentation, and delivering spatial data improvement projects

- Providing GIS technical assistance and training to APIM personnel as required

- Actively participating in HSE initiatives, safety meetings, and job safety planning to maintain APIM's commitment to maintaining a safe working environment

About you

- Minimum 5+ years of experience working as a GIS Analyst, or delivering GIS services within an environmental, heritage, natural resources management, mining, or major resources project context

- Tertiary qualifications in GIS, Cartography, Spatial Science, or a related discipline (desirable)

- Demonstrated proficiency across GIS software suites, including ArcGIS Pro, FME Scripting, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS Online, QGIS (exposure to SQL Server, AutoCAD, MapInfo and / or other geospatial packages advantageous)

- Proven capability in high-standard cartographic production, geospatial data capture, digitising, and advanced spatial analysis

- Familiarity with resource industry workflows and datasets, including environmental surveys and monitoring, heritage surveys, ground disturbance permitting, and land rehabilitation

- High level of attention to detail and data governance, with a strong commitment to quality control and data confidentiality
