About The Role
As the Senior Government Reporting Officer, you will provide essential support to the Team Leader Government Reporting in the administration and reporting of Institute training activity to State and Australian Governments. This will include the administration and reporting of government-supported or subsidised activity – for Skills First-funded students under the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 and for students supported under the HELP program, the Higher Education Support Act 2003 and VET Student Loans Act 2016 (and any succeeding legislation).
The role will focus on providing the Academic Registrar, Academic Administration, and the rest of the Student Success and Support portfolio, proactive recommendations to enhance and future-proof practices in relation to administering and reporting government funding and loans activity and ensure program compliance.
The Senior Government Reporting
Officers will develop appropriate processes and local work instructions in support of the work of the Government Reporting team.
In this role you will work collaboratively across the Student Success and Support portfolio and with other Chisholm Business Area staff, the Victorian Government’s Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (DJSIR) and its successors, the Australian Government’s Departments of Education (DoE), and Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR) and their successors, and Chisholm customers. The incumbents will also work with Academic Administration,
the broader Student Success and Support team and the student management system vendor to develop, adapt and implement appropriate system functionality
About You
Qualifications and skills required for the role
You will have a relevant Degree level qualification or lesser formal qualifications with substantial experience and expertise in administrative fields
You will bring: -
- High level of computer competence with strong Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills used in delivering quality customer service and obtaining information from different sources
- Well-developed problem solving and analytical skills
