Join a highly regarded national Corporate & Commercial practice and work closely with an established Competition Partner on sophisticated, high-quality matters for blue-chip clients.

What sets this role apart is the breadth and quality of the work. Rather than being confined to one area of Competition law, you will work across merger assessments and transactions, ACCC engagement and merger filings, regulatory investigations, Part IV competition issues, restraint of trade, consumer law and competition-related disputes.

You will advise clients across a diverse range of industries while collaborating with the broader Corporate & Commercial and Disputes teams on complex matters. This provides an opportunity to build a genuinely broad Competition & Consumer practice while developing wider commercial expertise.

At Senior Associate level, you will take ownership of matters, develop direct client relationships, contribute to the growth of the practice and mentor junior lawyers. The broader Corporate & Commercial practice also provides scope to collaborate across complementary areas and become involved in work extending beyond traditional Competition & Consumer matters.

ABOUT YOU

You will ideally bring

- 5+ years’ PAE gained within a reputable Competition & Consumer practice
- Strong experience across commercial, regulatory and/or competition matters
- Exposure to transactional competition matters, merger assessments and/or ACCC engagements
- Strong analytical, drafting and communication skills
- The ability to provide commercially focused and pragmatic legal advice
- Confidence managing complex matters and developing client relationships
- The ability to work autonomously and take ownership of matters
- Experience mentoring and supporting junior lawyers
- A collaborative and client-focused approach
