Key Responsibilities

- Support the Leadership Team in setting and defining business strategy and key performance measures.
- Source and appropriately challenge business assumptions with executives that will drive financial forecast, budget and financial plan modelling and outcomes.
- Develop and maintain financial planning models to meet business planning needs
- Develop and maintain regular business performance reporting to all key stakeholders to support well-informed decisions, tailoring to each stakeholder as required. This should include an appropriate focus on financial and non-financial performance measures.
- Effectively support executive accountability for business performance through timely, robust and data based reporting.
- Highlight performance issues, risks and opportunities and provide recommendations to address or take advantage of them through value-add performance reporting and business engagement.
- Effectively lead, manage and develop junior team members to ensure ongoing performance.

Your Experience:

- Minimum 7 years accounting, finance or FP&A; experience, preferably in retail banking
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a people manager
- Proven accounting expertise combined with a strong business orientation
- Excellent knowledge of risk analysis, budgeting and forecasting
- Advanced skills in financial software and MS Office
- Experience with more advanced systems (e.g. Anaplan, Power BI, TM1, Tableau)




- Experience using business intelligence tools to automate reporting and create dashboards
- Analytical mind with aptitude in mathematics
- Proven ability to communicate, influence, facilitate and build relationships
- Demonstrated problem-solver with exceptional attention to detail
- Demonstrated organisational and leadership skills
- Qualified Accountant (CIMA, CA or CPA qualified preferred)

Desirable Experience:

- Experience in a digital and/or banking environment
- Experience in a greenfield, start-up or high growth organisation
- An understanding of structured file and database formats (e.g. CSV, XML, XBRL)
- Knowledge and experience with SQL
