The Opportunity

We're looking for a Broadcast & Streaming Technician to join our Live Delivery team.

This is a hands-on technical role combining operations from our Master Control Room (MCR) in Pyrmont with onsite delivery of live broadcast and streaming projects across Australia and internationally.

You'll work across the preparation, setup, operation and technical support of live events, using broadcast technology, cloud infrastructure and operational platforms to deliver reliable live services.

In the MCR, you'll support multiple concurrent broadcasts/streams and act as the technical escalation point for MCR Operators. Onsite, you'll help implement and operate the technical solution, working directly with customers, venues, production teams and technology partners.

About the Role

You’ll contribute to project planning, preparation and technical checks, through to live operation in the MCR and onsite live deliveries.

You'll be responsible for:

- Configuring and preparing broadcast and streaming workflows for live events.

- Completing pre-event technical checks and confirming services are ready for transmission.

- Operating and providing technical support across multiple concurrent live broadcast and streaming services during rostered MCR shifts.

- Monitoring video, audio, contribution, distribution and overall service health.

- Acting as the technical escalation point for MCR Operators.

- Investigating broadcast and streaming faults and performing first-line technical troubleshooting.

- Identifying issues across source, contribution, encoding, connectivity, distribution and playback.

- Performing recovery actions within established procedures and technical authority,



escalating complex faults to the rostered engineering support.

- Preparing, testing and deploying equipment for onsite projects.

- Completing onsite technical setup, testing and rehearsals.

- Operating broadcast and streaming technology throughout live events.

- Working with customers, venues, production crews and technical partners during delivery.

- Following project run sheets, technical workflows and escalation procedures.

- Maintaining accurate technical, incident and handover records.

- Contributing to operational documentation, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

About You

You'll be technically curious, practical and comfortable working in live environments where preparation and attention to detail matter.

You'll be able to troubleshoot methodically when something goes wrong, while recognising when an issue requires escalation to a more senior engineering resource.

You'll also be comfortable representing Corrivium onsite with customers and partners. When you're travelling for a project, you're not simply operating equipment, you're part of the team responsible for delivering the technical solution and a successful customer outcome.

Skills & Experience

Ideally, you'll bring experience from broadcast, television, live streaming, AV, live production or another technically demanding event environment.

You'll also bring:

- Practical understanding of live video and audio workflows.

- Robust technical troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.

- Experience operating or supporting broadcast, streaming or production technology.

- Understanding of video contribution, encoding, streaming and distribution.

- Working knowledge of networking concepts relevant to live media delivery.

- Ability to interpret technical documentation, workflows and run sheets.

- Strong attention to detail and disciplined operational practices.

- Clear communication skills, particularly during live incidents.





- Confidence working directly with customers and external technical teams.

- Ability to work independently and make appropriate operational decisions.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in time-critical environments.

Desirable Experience

Experience with technologies or environments such as AWS Media Services, Grass Valley AMPP, LiveU, Haivision, TAG monitoring, video encoding, HLS streaming, IP video contribution, live events, remote production or MCR operations would be advantageous.

Experience delivering live sporting, corporate or large-scale events would also be highly regarded.

We don't expect you to know every technology we use. More important is a strong technical foundation, curiosity and the ability to learn new systems and workflows.

Travel & Working Requirements

This role includes work within our Pyrmont MCR, as well as onsite at client designated locations which can be within Australia or internationally.

Live broadcasting doesn't operate to a traditional Monday-to-Friday schedule, so you'll need flexibility to work around our 7-day a week, live event calendar.

The role includes:

- Rostered MCR shifts.

- Day, evening and night shifts on a roster covering seven days a week.

- Domestic and international travel.

- Work from customer and event venues.

- Occasional public holiday work.

- Early starts and late finishes depending on event schedules.

- Travel periods that may include consecutive days away from Sydney.

You'll need to be comfortable travelling regularly with some occasions you may be overseas approx 5-10 days depending on the size of the project being delivered. You need to be ok with working flexibly around live project requirements.
