The Prospect n

The HSE Advisor will report to the functional Head of Safety and lead a small project-based HSE function on a major industrial project in southern Brisbane. Working closely with project leadership, you will ensure Health and Safety standards are met while fostering a proactive safety culture.

Your principal responsibilities will include:

n

Managing client and key regulatory stakeholder relationships.

n

Leading site inspections, audits, and compliance activities.

n

Investigating safety incidents and near misses, and developing and implementing corrective and preventive actions.

n

Identifying and reporting risks and hazards, ensuring timely investigation and implementation of appropriate control measures.

n

Supporting the implementation and monitoring of WHS management systems.

n





Identifying HSE training needs, and developing and facilitating project-based training programs, while maintaining the training register.

n

Capturing, analysing, and reporting on incident trends, audit outcomes, and WHS performance data to support continuous improvement.

Your Skills & Experience n

Proven experience in a Health and Safety role with a commercial builder or developer is required. A track record with a track record of delivering commercial projects over $100M being highly regarded.

n

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills are essential, with the ability to advise and influence project leadership, subcontractors, and client representatives.

n

Deep knowledge of WHSE legislation, risk management processes, and auditing practices will be relied upon.

n

A minimum Certificate IV in WHS is required, with a Diploma or higher qualification highly regarded. An ICAM certification would also be advantageous.
