Western Downs Digital Park

Western Downs Digital Park is a major new hyperscale data centre campus at Kogan in Queensland. This is an opportunity to help establish the operating organisation, systems and service culture for a critical new digital infrastructure asset from the ground up.

The role The Senior Operations Director will hold end-to-end accountability for the secure, reliable and cost-effective operation of the Western Downs Digital Park. This is broader than a traditional data centre operations position. You will lead the complete campus operating model across critical data centre operations, soft services and the infrastructure that supports a substantial regional workforce.

You will be Zerra DC's senior operational leader on site, the principal operational interface with the customer and the person responsible for bringing multiple specialist functions and service providers together as one high-performing team.

What you will lead

- Overall site operations, customer service levels, availability and operational performance.
- The DC Operations, Soft Services and Campus Support leadership teams.
- Critical facilities, maintenance,



security and life-safety services within the data centre boundary.
- Campus services including logistics, transport, accommodation, catering, housekeeping and workforce support.
- Site budgets, forecasts, cost control, vendor performance and continuous improvement.
- HSEQ, incident response, emergency management and business continuity.

What you will bring You will be a senior operational leader from a mission-critical, technically complex or large-scale service environment. Your experience may come from data centres, integrated facilities management, utilities, energy, advanced manufacturing, mining or another comparable operation.

- Leadership of large multidisciplinary operations through senior functional reports.
- A strong understanding of hard engineering services and critical infrastructure, combined with exposure to soft services and wider operational support.
- Customer-facing accountability for SLAs, KPIs, escalations and service reviews.
- Commercial strength across budgets, contracts, vendors and cost performance.
- Calm, credible leadership in incidents and high-pressure operational environments.
- The commitment to build a team and operating culture in the Western Downs region.
