Lime Recruitment is currently working with a Queensland Government client to recruit an experienced Senior Procurement Officer. In this role, you will be part of the Property and Procurement team within Corporate Services, providing high-level advice, leading end-to-end strategic procurement activities, managing complex supply contracts, and ensuring strict compliance with the Queensland Procurement Policy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level advice and guidance to senior management and departmental staff on procurement practices, supply contracting, and performance monitoring under the Queensland Procurement Policy.
- Undertake end-to-end strategic procurement activities including planning, sourcing strategy development, tender administration, evaluation, negotiation, and contract finalisation.
- Deliver high-quality procurement and contract management documentation in line with Queensland Government principles.
- Manage contract performance, variations, extensions, disputes, and invoicing issues while establishing robust KPIs and performance monitoring frameworks.
- Research and prepare complex submissions, reports, briefing materials, and correspondence for senior executives on key procurement matters.
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships across government agencies and external suppliers to foster collaboration and maximize value.
- Demonstrate cultural capability and align procurement practices with the Human Rights Act 2019 and departmental community objectives.
About You:
- Proven experience as a Senior Procurement Officer managing complex, end-to-end sourcing and contract management lifecycles within a government or regulated environment.
- Deep understanding of procurement frameworks, tendering processes, and compliance with the Queensland Procurement Policy and relevant legislation.
- Solid capability in preparing high-quality procurement documentation, contract variations, briefing materials, and executive submissions.
- Demonstrated experience in vendor management, performance tracking, KPI monitoring, negotiation, and resolving contractual disputes.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Tertiary qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline are highly regarded.
