About The Role

Reporting to the Head of Production, the Senior Production Merchandiser owns the critical path from order confirmation through to delivery. You'll manage a portfolio of styles across multiple categories and factories, balancing cost, quality and speed while keeping every stakeholder — design, buying, sourcing and our overseas suppliers — aligned and on schedule. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who thrives on detail, isn't fazed by a moving critical path, and knows how to get product out the door without compromising on quality.

What You'll Do

- Own and manage the critical path for assigned categories, from order placement through to ex-factory and delivery, flagging risks early and resolving delays before they bite
- Manage the end-to-end production process with offshore suppliers, including costing, order confirmation, bulk fabric and trim approvals, and shipment planning
- Negotiate pricing, MOQs and lead times with factories and agents to protect margin without sacrificing quality
- Track and approve fit, pre-production and bulk samples in partnership with the design and technical teams, ensuring product meets brand standards before it ships
- Maintain accurate order books, critical path trackers and production reports,



and communicate status clearly to internal stakeholders and leadership
- Partner with quality assurance to manage inspections, resolve quality issues and reduce repeat defects at source
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, agents and freight partners across our supply base
- Mentor and support junior merchandisers or production coordinators, reviewing their work and helping them develop
- Identify opportunities to improve production processes, lead times and supplier performance across the range

What You'll Bring

- 5+ years' experience in production merchandising, sourcing or supply chain within fashion, apparel or activewear
- Proven experience managing the critical path across multiple product categories and offshore factories simultaneously
- Solid understanding of garment construction, costing, fabric and trim requirements, and production timelines
- Excellent negotiation skills and a track record of managing supplier relationships to deliver on cost, quality and time
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills, with the ability to juggle competing priorities under pressure
- Confident communicator, comfortable working directly with overseas factories and cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in Excel and experience with PLM, ERP or order management systems
- Experience with international travel to factories/suppliers highly regarded
