Our Energy and Resources Engineering Division is at the forefront of delivering specialist projects in gas, hydrogen, and renewable energy. These include upstream flowlines, well leases, network gathering systems, major gas transmission pipelines, above-ground processing facilities, and emerging renewable energy infrastructure.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a client-focused Senior Project Engineer with 7-12 years of experience in the energy industry to manage and grow a strategic client account within our Energy & Resources business.

This role is ideal for an engineer who combines strong technical and project delivery capability with excellent stakeholder management, commercial awareness, and business development skills. You will act as a trusted advisor to key clients, overseeing project delivery while identifying opportunities to strengthen partnerships, improve project outcomes, and expand Fyfe's service offering.

Success in this role will be measured not only by project delivery performance, but also by client satisfaction, account growth, repeat work, and the development of long-term strategic relationships.

Key Responsibilities

- Act as the primary relationship manager for a strategic gas industry client account.
- Build trusted relationships with client representatives, project teams, and key industry stakeholders.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to grow the account through additional integrated services, projects, and long-term partnerships.
- Lead the successful delivery of gas projects including pipelines, gathering networks, wellsite facilities, compressor stations, and associated infrastructure.




- Collaborate with technical disciplines to deliver commercially practical engineering solutions that meet client requirements.
- Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, forecasts, and commercial performance.
- Identify project risks, variations, efficiencies, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Support preparation of proposals, fee estimates, tenders, and client presentations.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth and capability of the broader team.
- Champion safety, quality, and client service across all project activities.

About You

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Process, Civil, Electrical or related discipline).
- 7-12 years of experience in the oil and gas or energy infrastructure sectors.
- Demonstrated experience delivering engineering projects for gas industry clients.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and influence key stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing project profitability, forecasting, and financial performance.
- Track record of identifying business development opportunities and contributing to revenue growth.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Strong understanding of multidisciplinary engineering project delivery.
- Ability to balance technical, commercial, and client priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment.
- Self-driven, proactive, and focused on delivering exceptional client outcomes.
