The Role

GenOffGrid have a suite of new microgrid projects commencing which require a Senior Project Manager to oversee their successful delivery. GenOffGrid microgrid projects are world class and often first of kind in the industry. The candidate sought is a motivated self-starter who is able to work effectively and efficiently under pressure. Previous industry related experience will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and control the development of allocated projects, from feasibility stage to handover to the client, to achieve design and profit objectives while ensuring client satisfaction
- Management of all project resources and budgets including labour, materials, equipment, tools, sub-contractors
- Establish, monitor and report project schedules
- Regularly report project progress to senior management




- Participate in the tendering or business development process for prospective projects
- Manage contract administration (variations, delay management etc)
- Co-ordinate closely with the Engineering team to ensure that designs meet customer requirements and also align with the relevant codes and standards
- Negotiate with government departments and authorities to obtain approvals
- Ensure that projects are delivered to a high level of quality in accordance with GenOffGrid quality management system
- Ensure that projects are delivered safely and in accordance with GenOffGrid’s safety management system

About you

- Tertiary qualifications in engineering (ideally electrical), construction management or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, ideally in the energy industry
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities
- Strong commercial acumen with advanced problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- C class drivers’ licence
