Senior Recruitment Consultant | Data & AI | Financial Services

I’m working with one of Australia’s most established specialist recruitment businesses, with a strong reputation across the financial services market.

They’ve been operating for 20+ years and work with some of the country’s biggest financial institutions across Technology, Data, Transformation, Risk, Investments, Finance, Marketing, Credit and Lending .

They’re now looking to bring an experienced Data & AI recruiter into the Sydney Technology team.

The opportunity

This is not a cold-start desk .

You’ll inherit an established Data & AI market, working closely with the NSW Technology Director, who is already well connected across this space.

There’s a pretty good combination here of established business including 4+ house accounts currently generating multiple roles across Data, so you’ll have active opportunities and relationships to work with from day one with the ability to work across perm and contract with no ring fenced clients.

Another big positive, your manager is directly incentivised by the performance of the team, so there’s a genuine interest in making sure you have good work, the right support and the opportunity to bill.

What you’ll be doing

- Manage and grow an established Data & AI recruitment desk
- Work across a number of established financial services clients
- Develop existing relationships and identify new opportunities within those accounts
- Build strong candidate networks across Data, AI and associated technology markets
- Manage the full 360 recruitment process from business development through to placement




- Work closely with the Technology leadership team and other specialist consultants
- Identify opportunities to increase account penetration and develop new areas of business

What they’re looking for

- Proven experience recruiting within Data, AI or closely aligned technology markets
- A strong understanding of the Sydney recruitment market
- A genuine 360 recruitment background — comfortable with both candidates and clients
- Experience working with mid-to-large enterprise clients
- A commercial mindset and an interest in growing accounts rather than simply filling jobs
- The ability to operate independently while still being part of a collaborative team
