About the role

This is a full time hybrid role based in Sydney.

You’ll work across the full stack, building features end to end across our customer facing web applications and Node.js APIs. You’ll collaborate with designers and product on what gets built, contribute and own the development and evolution of a platform that ships to real users quickly.

The technology stack consists of Next.js for frontend applications, backend consists of Koa/NestJS deployed on GCP GKE.

You will be expected to

- Apply and promote industry best patterns and practices to drive and ensure consistency across the codebase.

- Have knowledge of application security best principals and apply those to deliver a secure privacy focused platform.

- Own end to end service architecture including data flows, service orchestration and backend services.

- Have valuable prioritisation and time management skills

- Have attention to detail and ability to take ownership of issues and deliverables.

What you will work on

- Own domain services end-to-end: from database migrations to API contracts to CI/CD pipelines

- Write high-quality, well-tested TypeScript with a strong emphasis on unit, integration, and E2E test coverage





- Contribute to shared internal libraries to promote reusable modular code.

- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical specifications

- Participate in root cause analysis and investigations.

What we’re looking for

Must have:

- 3+ years of proven experience writing typescript across frontend and backend frameworks.

- Strong communication skills to collaborate closely with partners, vendors and third party providers.

- Solid understanding of relational databases, writing queries and designing database schema and data models.

- Good understanding of git and git hygiene to enable reviewable PRs.

Nice to have:

- Fintech or regulated product environment experience.

- Knowledge and understanding of infrastructure, service deployments and CI/CD pipelines via GCP Cloud Build or Github actions.

- Experience deploying applications on a cloud provider, knowledge of infrastructure as code best practices.

- Experience leveraging AI tooling to enhance the developer experience and maximise productivity.

Experience with spec driven development and other frameworks for developing with AI is a bonus.
