As the first point of contact for patients, referring practitioners, and external providers, you will play a critical role in supporting safe, efficient, and patient-centred care through effective communication, appointment coordination, record management, billing, and compliance with privacy, clinical governance, and workplace safety requirements. This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a patient-focused healthcare environment and is committed to delivering exceptional service, efficient administration, and seamless support to clinicians and patients alike.
Key responsibilities
- Professionally greet and assist patients, carers, and visitors, providing an exceptional patient experience.
- Manage incoming telephone calls, emails, and correspondence, delivering transparent information regarding appointments, practice procedures, and patient enquiries.
- Coordinate schedules across multiple Prosthodontists, including chair utilisation, treatment sequencing, recalls, follow-ups, and referrals.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all information is managed in accordance with privacy and confidentiality requirements.
- Process payments accurately and manage HICAPS, health fund, insurance, and third-party claims.
- Collaborate closely with Prosthodontists,
dental assistants, and administrative staff to ensure efficient daily operations.
- Identify and elevate concerns that may impact patient safety, service quality, or patient experience.
- Support compliance with clinical governance, workplace health and safety requirements, and practice policies.
- Maintain a safe, professional, and well-organised reception and waiting area.
