Carnac Project Delivery Services invites Senior Structural Engineers to expand their mineral processing plant expertise to become trusted, go-to structural experts for our clients in an environment where their contribution is directly visible.

This full-time role is based at our Perth head office - free parking, close to public transport and end-of-trip facilities. We understand that work-life balance is important which is why there is scope to work from home one to two days per week.

The Role In this role you will apply your strong conceptual knowledge of structural engineering to work largely autonomously while looking for opportunities to improve or optimise outcomes for the client.

Successful project delivery will be the foundation of your career development towards Lead and Principal Structural Engineer and taking on multidisciplinary Project Engineering roles.

You will drive projects from concept to completion, skilfully managing budgets and schedules, invoicing, and close-out.

Throughout project delivery you will be involved in a range of activities including:

- Produce and review high-quality calculations, design reports, specifications,



design sketches and drawings while supporting our drafting and modelling teams.
- Participate in interdisciplinary workshops, design reviews and risk assessments.
- Review technical reports, design calculations, drawings and specifications.
- Engage with agencies, authorities and other key project stakeholders.

Qualifications and experience

- Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering recognised by Engineers Australia. CPEng status (or actively working towards it).
- 5+ years of structural design experience (steel and concrete).
- At least 2 years in mineral processing plants with exposure to materials handling (conveyors, pipe racks, platforms, tanks), or heavy industrial brownfield upgrades.
- Proficiency in SpaceGass, Strand7 (or equivalent FEA).
- Solid application of Australian Standards (AS1170, AS3600, AS4100, AS4600, AS1418, AS1657).
