Your current role

As a Field Service Technician, you will provide on-site technical support to customers across the Mackay region. This hands-on role will see you troubleshooting and repairing enterprise hardware, installing equipment, supporting desktop environments, and assisting with basic networking and infrastructure tasks.

Responsibilities include

- Diagnosing and repairing hardware faults across laptops, desktops, servers, storage devices, and peripheral equipment.
- Performing break/fix maintenance and replacing components such as SSDs, memory, batteries, screens, motherboards, keyboards, and power supplies.
- Assisting with server hardware diagnostics, firmware updates, and component replacements.
- Installing, patching, and rack mounting equipment within customer environments.
- Supporting network devices including switches, routers, and wireless access points.




- Maintaining accurate documentation and delivering outstanding customer service while managing multiple on-site requests.

What you'll need to succeed To be successful, you'll bring:

- 1-2+ years' experience in Desktop Support, Field Services, Hardware Repair, or Technical Support.
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills across a variety of hardware platforms.
- Experience performing hardware break/fix repairs and component replacements.
- Knowledge of Windows desktop environments.
- Exposure to enterprise hardware vendors such as Dell, Lenovo, HPE, or Cisco.
- Experience with cabling, equipment installations, patching, and basic networking.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- A current Australian driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the Mackay region.
