The Dementia Foundation is Western Australia's only dedicated not-for-profit focused exclusively on supporting people under 65 living with dementia and their families. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Service Manager to lead our teams across the Perth metropolitan area.
About the Role
Reporting to the Group Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our SIL homes, ensuring high-quality, person-centred support that meets client needs, NDIS requirements, and organisational objectives.
You will provide leadership, coaching and supervision to Team Leaders and support teams, drive service excellence, manage operational performance, and build strong relationships with residents, families, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the operational and people management functions of Dementia Foundation SIL homes.
- Foster a culture of person-centred, strengths-based care and continuous improvement.
- Supervise, mentor and develop Team Leaders and support staff.
- Manage incidents, complaints, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee rostering, resource allocation, budgets, and service delivery against NDIS funding.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, guardians and community partners.
- Participate in the on-call roster and provide after-hours operational support.
- Monitor service outcomes and prepare operational and compliance reports.
About You
You are an experienced disability, aged care, community services or accommodation leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional outcomes for people living with dementia.
Essential Requirements
- Demonstrated experience leading person-centred disability or community services.
- Strong leadership, coaching and workforce development skills.
- Sound knowledge of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Framework.
- Excellent organisational, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high service standards.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Full Australian working rights.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
Highly Desirable
- Experience supporting people with dementia, complex health needs, behaviours of concern, restrictive practices, medication management and manual handling.
- Understanding of community support networks and services.
