Our client is a growing non-bank lender with an established lending platform and a strong pipeline of new business.

They are looking for an experienced Settlements Officer to join the team and take responsibility for coordinating the settlement of recent and existing loans from approval through to completion.

Working closely with the Credit, Operations and Origination teams, you will manage the end-to-end settlements process, ensuring transactions are completed accurately, efficiently and within required timeframes.

Responsibilities

- Managing the settlement process from credit approval through to funding
- Reviewing loan and settlement documentation to ensure all requirements have been satisfied
- Liaising with brokers, borrowers, solicitors, conveyancers and other external stakeholders
- Coordinating with internal Credit, Operations and Finance teams to ensure transactions are ready for settlement
- Identifying and resolving issues that may delay settlement
- Ensuring loan documentation, conditions precedent and funding requirements are complete
- Preparing and maintaining settlement and funding records




- Updating stakeholders throughout the settlement process
- Managing a high volume of transactions while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Supporting the broader lending operations team as required

Requirements:
- Experience in a settlements, loan operations or lending operations role
- A strong understanding of the loan settlement process
- Experience working with loan documentation and conditions required prior to funding
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence dealing with brokers, customers, solicitors and internal stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- The ability to manage multiple transactions and competing deadlines
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
- Experience within a bank, non-bank lender, mortgage lender or similar financial services environment
