Workplace health and safety is a core focus, reinforced by a dedicated full-time WH&S; Officer involved in planning and overseeing each project. Core services include roofing, re-roofing and guttering, emergency and insurance work, asbestos and demolition, wall cladding, and ventilation.

Role Description The Site Supervisor/Leading Hand is a full time, hybrid role based in Toowoomba, QLD, with a mix of on-site supervision and some work from home for planning and coordination tasks. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing roofing, asbestos, demolition, and cladding projects, coordinating site teams, subcontractors, and materials to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to quality standards. The role involves interpreting plans and specifications, organizing workflows, conducting site inspections, and implementing WH&S; procedures in line with company and legislative requirements.

The Site





Supervisor/Leading Hand will communicate regularly with project managers, clients, and internal stakeholders, preparing reports, updating job progress, and resolving issues that arise on site. The position also includes supporting training and mentoring of team members, promoting safe work practices, and contributing to continuous improvement of site operations.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience supervising roofing, asbestos, demolition, or construction projects, with strong site management and leadership skills.
- Sound knowledge of WH&S; legislation, risk assessment, and safe work methods, with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and scopes of work, and manage scheduling, resourcing, and logistics for multiple jobs.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating teams, liaising with clients, and collaborating with project managers.
- Proficiency in basic digital tools (email, project documentation, reporting systems) to manage site records and administrative tasks.
- Relevant trade qualification in roofing, construction, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience; supervisory tickets or certifications are highly regarded.
- Current driver’s license and ability to travel to various sites as required.
- Experience working with asbestos and demolition projects, along with appropriate licensing or willingness to obtain required certifications, is an advantage.
