About the role
Join one of Queensland's leading tertiary urology services and contribute to the delivery of high-quality care for patients with complex urological conditions. Based across the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital and STARS, this opportunity offers exposure to a diverse caseload, contemporary surgical practice and a strong culture of teaching, research and clinical excellence.
Working within a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, you will provide inpatient and outpatient urology services while contributing to emergency care, elective surgery and service improvement initiatives. The role also offers the opportunity to be actively involved in medical education, clinical governance, quality assurance and research activities that support the ongoing advancement of urological care.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient urology services, delivering safe, high-quality and patient-centred care across a tertiary referral service.
- Participate in emergency urology rosters, undertaking and supervising emergency surgical procedures as required.
- Support the effective management of outpatient services and elective surgical activity, contributing to improved access and timely patient care.
- Play an active role in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education, providing teaching,
supervision and support to junior medical staff and trainees.
- Contribute to research, quality assurance, clinical governance and service improvement initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and urology services.
