Social Media Marketing Assistant — Contractor

We’re looking for a creative, organised and proactive Social Media Marketing Assistant to join our small team and support a growing portfolio of FMCG and e-commerce brands.

You’ll work closely with two experienced Social Media Managers, assisting across a variety of client accounts and day-to-day social media tasks. This is a great opportunity for someone with 1–2 years of experience who wants to build their skills, work across exciting brands and gain hands-on experience.

The role

Your responsibilities will include

- Scheduling and publishing social media content across platforms including Instagram, Facebook and TikTok
- Editing short-form video and Reels using CapCut
- Writing engaging, on-brand social media captions and copy
- Assisting with monthly social media reporting and interpreting key performance metrics
- Organising content, assets and social media calendars
- Supporting community management and general account maintenance
- Assisting with content creation and other marketing tasks as required
- Working across multiple client accounts while keeping tasks, deadlines and deliverables organised

About you We’d love to hear from someone who:

- Has approximately 1–2 years of experience in social media, digital marketing, content creation or a similar role
- Is confident using Instagram, TikTok and Facebook
- Has experience editing short-form video in CapCut




- Has robust copywriting skills and an eye for what makes good social content
- Understands social media trends and is genuinely interested in the digital space
- Is organised, reliable and comfortable juggling multiple brands and deadlines
- Has good attention to detail and can follow different brand guidelines and tones of voice
- Is comfortable working independently while also collaborating closely with a small team
- Has a basic understanding of social media analytics and reporting

Experience working with FMCG, food, lifestyle or e-commerce brands would be a bonus, but isn’t essential.

The details

This is a contractor position working with two freelance Social Media Managers and supporting their respective client portfolios. There is potential for the role to grow over time as our client base expands.

We’re looking for someone who can become a reliable part of the team rather than simply completing one-off tasks — someone we can trust with our clients and gradually give more responsibility to.
