This role focuses on developing robust STM32-based firmware for custom PCB boards that interface with J2534 automotive diagnostic devices. The successful candidate will enhance an existing Windows-based J2534 DLL implementation, ensuring reliable communication between hardware and host applications. The position also involves reverse engineering PCB layouts from reference photos, designing new boards, and building functional prototypes.

The ideal applicant will have a strong background in embedded systems, automotive protocols, and hands-on hardware development. This is a project-based opportunity with a one-month delivery target and potential for future collaboration.

Responsibilities

- Develop and optimize STM32 firmware for integration with J2534 devices and protocols
- Refine and extend an existing Windows-based J2534 DLL codebase
- Ensure secure and reliable communication between hardware and host applications
- Analyze and replicate PCB designs from photographic references
- Design, assemble, and test prototype PCB boards
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automotive diagnostics and communication protocols




- Document development processes and provide technical support as needed

Skills And Requirements

- Proven experience with STM32 microcontrollers and embedded C/C++ programming
- Strong understanding of J2534, CAN bus, and CAN-FD protocols
- Experience with automotive diagnostics and vehicle communication standards
- Proficiency in PCB design, layout, and prototyping
