Independent Schools Victoria (ISV) is committed to supporting school communities that are inclusive, respectful, safe and connected.

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Grant Project Manager to lead a significant grant-funded initiative that strengthens social cohesion across Victoria's independent school sector.

In this newly created role, you will work closely with schools, students, government agencies and community stakeholders to develop practical, evidence-informed initiatives that promote respectful dialogue, intercultural understanding, democratic participation and community engagement.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Education and School Operations, you will:

Lead the design, implementation and evaluation of ISV's social cohesion initiatives and funded projects.

Develop and manage project plans, budgets, reporting frameworks, evaluation measures, and stakeholder engagement strategies.

Support schools to foster inclusive, respectful, and connected learning communities.

Develop practical resources, tools, and professional learning opportunities for school leaders and educators.

Build and maintain robust relationships with schools, students, government agencies, funding bodies, community organisations and other key stakeholders.

Monitor emerging research, trends and policy developments relating to social cohesion, inclusion, diversity, community resilience, and student wellbeing.

Analyse project outcomes and stakeholder feedback to inform future strategy and continuous improvement.

Prepare reports, briefings, submissions, and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.

Develop initiatives that strengthen student leadership, active citizenship, critical thinking, empathy, media literacy,



and respectful engagement with diverse perspectives.

About you

You are a collaborative and values-driven professional with experience delivering complex projects and working across diverse stakeholder groups.

You will bring:

Demonstrated experience managing complex projects from planning, through implementation and evaluation.

Experience managing funded projects and meeting project milestones, reporting requirements and stakeholder expectations.

Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Strong understanding of social cohesion, inclusion, diversity, and community engagement principles.

Knowledge of contemporary issues affecting young people, including prejudice, discrimination, identity, social media influences, and community division.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities.

A commitment to fostering connected, inclusive and resilient school communities.

Ability to work sensitively and effectively across diverse cultural, religious, and social communities

Relevant tertiary qualifications in education, social policy, community development, public policy, sociology, or a related discipline.

Experience within the education sector, schools and community organisations will be highly regarded.

Experience developing professional learning programs and educational resources.
