The Opportunity

A leading commercial builder is seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to support the delivery of a major data centre project in Melbourne's western suburbs.
Working closely with the project team and subcontractors, you will play a key role in maintaining high safety standards across a fast-paced site environment. This is an excellent prospect for a hands-on safety professional who enjoys being on site, building relationships and driving positive safety outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct daily site inspections and safety walks
- Monitor subcontractor compliance and site safety performance
- Facilitate site inductions and onboarding
- Review SWMS and risk assessments
- Lead toolbox talks and safety briefings
- Investigate incidents,



near misses and corrective actions
- Maintain safety documentation and reporting
- Support project audits and client safety requirements
- Manage safety records and compliance systems
- Coach supervisors and subcontractors on safety best practice
- Promote a proactive and positive safety culture

About You

- 3+ years' experience as a Safety Advisor within commercial, industrial or major construction projects
- Strong knowledge of Victorian construction safety requirements
- Experience working for a head contractor or major subcontractor
- Confident working in live construction environments with multiple trades
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experienced with digital safety management systems
- Practical, solutions-focused and highly visible on site
