Next3pl is a supply chain and logistics company providing warehousing, fulfilment and transport services across Australia. We use reliable business systems and practical processes to help our customers move goods efficiently.

We are looking for a Software Tester to join our technology and operations team. You will test the systems used for warehousing, fulfilment, transport and customer service. You will work with developers, IT, operations and business staff to find problems, improve software quality and support reliable releases.

Key responsibilities

· Understand system needs and identify problems in Next3pl's business applications.

· Identify limitations and weaknesses in existing systems and related processes.

· Write and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts and test data.

· Test features and systems, find and reproduce faults, and help ensure they work as required.

· Create and maintain automated tests and supporting scripts.

· Test software releases before and after deployment and confirm that they are ready for use.

· Maintain technical instructions, user guides and operating procedures.

· Review test results, defects and service data, and report issues and trends.

· Work with the team to improve software design, testing methods and testing tools.

· Help improve the way software is tested, released and maintained.

· Build and improve tools that support testing, releases, system support and security.

· Investigate unusual results or possible security issues and report your findings.

· Identify and help reduce risks to software performance, reliability and security.





What you will bring

Qualifications

· A bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, software engineering or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

· A testing, quality assurance or test automation certification is helpful but not required.

Experience

· At least two years of experience in software testing, quality assurance or a similar role.

· Experience writing test plans and test cases, running tests, managing defects and recording results.

· Experience with automated testing, source control, API testing and SQL or other data checking tools.

· Experience with logistics, warehousing, fulfilment, WMS, ERP or other operational systems is helpful.

Skills

· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· The ability to understand requirements, find the cause of problems and explain issues clearly.

· Knowledge of testing tools and scripting, with the ability to learn current systems.

· An understanding of software security, user access and data accuracy.

· Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with technical and non-technical staff.

· A practical, team-focused approach and the ability to manage several priorities.

Pay: $90,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
